High on Talent

Charmaine Chitate is an interdisciplinary artist working with computer based media as an anchor. Her work is an exploration of her understanding of identity. It is complemented by photojournalism and VR/AR content production. In September 2018, the FNB Joburg Art Fair listed her as one of the Top 20 contemporary African artists who have "the potential to shape and inspire the global art scene - both now and into the future". A member of the Project Management Institute’s Zimbabwe Chapter and the Zimbabwe Association of Female Photographers (ZAFP), Ms. Chitate is also an Africalia "Creativity Is Life" Lauréat.
